WebJul 28, 2010 · This is an excellent album of traditional American music. I have been a fan of Doc Watson and the Watson family for a long time and this album is a gem. And I especially loved the previously and rarely released tracks on this CD. Among these being, "Look Down That Lonesome Road", and "Frosty Morn". WebThis Smithsonian Folkways release captures not only Doc Watson, but almost a dozen family members at the height of their power and has been deservingly hailed as a classic recording. Right from the opening track, "Old Groundhog," Watson and family send the listener on an amazing journey into the American musical past and present.
